The Top 3 Reasons Women Get Labiaplasty

The Top 3 Reasons Women Get Labiaplasty

  • They want their bodies (labia) to function better.
  • They want to look better in clothes and out of clothes.
  • They want to feel better about themselves and their bodies.

It’s a delicate subject, but an important one for your health and satisfaction. Simply put, childbirth causes many changes to your vaginal area. New Mothers and Father worry about everything returning to normal “down there” after child birth.

Following vaginal births, a lot of women experience ‘laxity’ of the vaginal canal and perineal muscles which sustain a lot of stretching at the time of delivery of a baby’s head. Those tissues lose their normal strength especially as women age which cause women to experience a decrease in vaginal sensation/gratification during lovemaking. Vaginal rejuvenation procedures aim at correcting the problem by tightening and repairing the damaged muscles returning them to normal

For years, cosmetic surgeons have been able to correct stretched or sagging skin in this area, but recent media attention has prompted many more women to consider this procedure. Surgeons use labiaplasty to correct large or misshapen labial skin and to enhance the external appearance of the vagina. Ultimately an intimate, private decision, women considering this surgery often seek guidance from a Surgeon proficient in this procedure.

If you are considering this or any other Cosmetic Surgery procedure in Phuket, take the next step and receive a free consultation when you request your surgeons appointment schedule . If you’re unsure about scheduling a face to face consultation, but you would like additional advice and information you can trust, you can still complete the Patient registration or send your enquires via our confidential online form.

Common Vaginaplasty Surgical Procedures

The most common surgical procedures associated with vaginaplasty are:

  • Labiaplasty – A reduction in the size or removal of pigmentation of inner or outer lips to improve function, appearance and sometimes comfort
  • Vaginal Rejuvenation or Vaginal Tightening (with or without a laser) – Tightening of the vaginal canal and entrance to a pre-child or virgin-like state
  • Clitoral Hood Reduction – An increase in stimulation by removing or lessening of excess tissue around the clitoris
  • Hymenoplasty – Reattaching the hymen (most commonly for religious purposes or as a celebration of a strong union)
  • Liposuction of Mons Pubis – Removal of fat pad that covers the pubic bone
Why have labiaplasty?

Mothers are often unhappy with stretching of the exterior vaginal area caused by natural childbirth. Extended labia can cause discomfort when engaging in physical activity, or even when sitting for long periods of time, and may make you uncomfortable or self-conscious in intimate settings.

How it works.

Labiaplasty is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia or twilight sedation supplemented by local anesthesia. Skin and fatty tissue in the labia are carefully sculpted depending on your surgical needs. Immediately after the procedures, you may experience swelling and discomfort, which is controlled through medication. After about five to seven days, you should be able to return to your normal routine, though you must avoid the use of feminine hygiene products and sexual activity for several weeks.

Mummy Make Over -Post Baby Surgery Cost

mummy make over thailand

How you feel as a mum is integral to the strength of your family. There is nothing wrong with wanting to feel youthful, sexy, and confident after having your babies. Having a positive self-image certainly benefits you, but it also can improve your interactions with loved ones. You deserve to feel as wonderful as you truly are, and that’s exactly the philosophy behind  having a Mummy Makeover in Thailand where you get to rest, relax and be pampered after surgery.

You may feel like there are a lot of decisions to be made if you want to proceed with having surgery, and not just about the procedure itself we find that most patients also have concerns about kids, finances, and so much more.

What is a Mummy Makeover?
A Mummy Makeover is a combination of surgical procedures designed to restore a women’s body after pregnancy and childbirth or even after weight loss. The procedures are often performed all at once. The goal is to focus on those areas that are most impacted by childbearing, including the breasts, tummy, and waistline.

What are my procedure options for a Mummy Makeover in Thailand?
The surgical options vary greatly from person to person and will depend on your personal goals. Most women choose to combine breast and body procedures such as liposuction, tummy tuckbreast augmentation, or breast lift for their Mummy Makeovers. Others are more interested in facial rejuvenation techniques such as face lift or eyelid surgery. Our Thailand surgeons will help you choose the appropriate treatments to meet your needs.

How soon can I have a Mummy Makeover Surgery Package after giving birth?
Your body should be as close to “normal” as possible before having your Mummy Makeover. That means you should be at a steady weight for 3 months and be engaged in a regular fitness routine and healthy diet. You should also wait 6 to 12 months after breastfeeding so that your breasts return to normal. It is no point going through the surgery whilst your body is still changing. You want to be able to get the best results from your surgeries and this can only be achieved when your body has ceased changing.

What are the costs of having a Mummy Make Over in Thailand?
The finances associated with any surgery are integral in any decision to have surgery, more so when you are looking at having multiple procedures. When having a Mummy Make Over in Thailand you will need to also factor in the recovery time need which may be up to 17 Days and travel cost. An average cost of flights from Australia and a 18 day Hotel package would be $2000 AUD.

Common Mummy Make Over Surgery Options

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
If you’re a mum, you know the reality: that having a baby changes your body in ways that can’t always be erased with diet and exercise. No matter how long it’s been since you delivered, no matter how hard you’ve worked to get back in shape, if your abdomen still won’t completely retract, don’t blame yourself. Once skin and muscle have been stretched from pregnancy, they frequently will not return to their pre-pregnancy form

Breast Lift

Stretched and sagging breasts are common after childrearing, but they don’t have to be a requirement of motherhood. Many mothers just like you have made the choice to get back their beautiful, perky pre-baby breasts. It’s easier than ever – and can help you look better than ever in a dash with breast lift surgery. Read our article on if you need a breast lift here

Breast Augmentation

Although most mums are well aware of the way pregnancy changes a woman’s body, many are surprised to find that their breasts look smaller after having kids. This is not uncommon, especially among women who breast feed. To restore lost fullness, or to create the volume you’ve always wanted, as part of mummy make over you may be offered breast augmentation.

After Weight loss Surgery options

post weightless surgery

Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and after working hard to lose so much weight either by diet, exercise or weight loss surgery, you may be discouraged to find that your skin drapes down in unattractive folds or looks damaged with stretch marks. This doesn’t happen to everyone, but if it happens to you, what do you do about it? Do you live with it or do you have it taken care of through plastic surgery?

Excess skin isn’t just a cosmetic issue. If your skin starts to sag, hygiene can become a major issue. Any skin fold can be prone to rashes, which are usually a type of yeast infection. Common areas are under the breasts, in the belly button, and above the pubic area and groin. Yeast infections occur as these areas get very hot and moist.

Chafing is another major problem, and this can occur between the thighs, under the arms, and in areas that rub against the bra. Wearing longer fitted garments on the arms and legs can decrease irritation and breakdown of the skin in these areas, but again, you may decide that surgery is your best option.

Plastic surgery following weight loss surgery will require individualised body contouring. In body contouring, excess skin and pockets of fat are removed from the abdominal area, thighs, buttocks, upper arms, and breasts. Body contouring may be done in one or multiple surgeries depending on your requirements. It can require several days’ hospitalisation, weeks off work, and a year until scars heal. A complete body contouring cost thousands of dollars. The total number of surgeries is usually spread over several months.

To determine Post Weight Loss Surgery cost will require a through assessment by your surgeon who will determine which surgeries will be of benefit and which order is best to have them to get the results that you after.

What is Weight loss Surgery?

weight loss surgery

Obesity affects two of very three people. For those morbidly obese patients, dieting and exercise just doesn’t work. Their excessive weight adversely affects their quality of life and that of their families. They are in constant discomfort with aching joints and backs. They are high risk candidates to develop heart disease, diabetes or cancer. For them bariatric surgery which is a weight loss surgery is their only hope, and their last resort.

Bariatric surgery, a broad term that covers several types of gastric and intestinal surgeries. It works by either reducing the size of the stomach to limit calorie intake or by decreasing the amount of calories the body can absorb by surgically altering the small intestine. Examples of bariatric surgery include gastric bypass, gastric banding (lap-band, realize band), duodenal switch, gastric sleeve or roux-en-y procedures.

These Bariatric procedures can be life saving for may with long term studies showing that 23% up to 40% increase their mortality rate. Many other health issue either disappear or significantly improve with weightless.

Adjustable gastric band
The restriction of the stomach also can be created using a silicone band, which can be adjusted by addition or removal of saline through a port placed just under the skin. This operation can be performed laparoscopically, and is commonly referred to as a “lap band”. Weight loss is predominantly due to the restriction of nutrient intake that is created by the small gastric pouch and the narrow outlet.  It is considered one of the safest procedures performed today with a mortality rate of 0.05%.

Vertical banded gastroplasty

Diagram of a Vertical banded gastroplasty

Is also known as stomach stapling, is a restrictive operation for weight control. Both a band and staples are used to create a small stomach pouch. In the bottom of the pouch is an approximate one-centimeter hole through which the pouch contents can flow into the remainder of the stomach and thence onto the remainder of the gastrointestinal tract.

Many severely overweight people are able to lose a significant amount of weight and maintain their results with changes in diet and exercise. Others who have tried, but have had little success with various weight loss programs, find a solution with bariatric surgery.

Dramatic weight loss, however, can cause other types of aesthetic problems. Patients are often left with loose, sagging skin that no longer has the elasticity to conform to a slimmer shape. While the body shrinks, the skin does not usually shrink to fit the new slimmer shape.

Bariatric surgery, causes sudden and massive weight loss by changing the body’s physiology. It takes about a year for the body to adjust to its hampered ability to absorb calories and nutrition. It is recommended to wait one year after a bariatric procedure before undergoing plastic surgery. This give the body time to learn how to absorb vital nutrients necessary to heal, and time for the weight-loss to stabilize.

Unfortunately, neither exercise nor diet will help tighten loose skin. Only plastic surgery can do that.your surgeon will be able to assess your needs and specialises in all areas of reconstructive bariatric plastic surgery following extreme weight loss, endeavouring to help patients look and feel better in their skin. These procedures include tummy tuckbrachioplasty (arm lift)thigh liftface liftneck liftbreast lift, and breast augmentation.

Vaser Liposuction Facts

Vaser Liposuction

Unlike traditional liposuction,Rather than standard liposuction in Thailand, which simply sucks the fat out from under the skin, Vaser Liposuction in Thailand adds a very important step – liquefaction of the fat. Essentially, the fat is “dissolved” or “melted” before it is removed, which has a range of benefits, including better contouring, better preservation of existing tissues, and faster recovery. Vaser Liposuction results in less trauma and a much faster recovery time for patients. Vaser Liposuction will use a minimally invasive technique to selectively break apart and gently remove unwanted fat.

Prior to beginning the Vaser Liposuction Procedure, the areas to have the liposuction is injected with a special solution known as tumescent solution. Tumescent solution will hydrodissects the fat facilitating its removal; it protects the underlying organs bringing up the skin; it reduces bleeding numbs the target area and also shrinks local blood vessels. It will temporarily expands the volume of the targeted area, making fat cells easier to break up and remove. Small-diameter probes called a cannula are then inserted into the body through small incisions, and by resonating at a high ultrasonic frequency, the probes literally shake loose fat cells — while leaving blood vessels, nerves and connective tissues unharmed. The loose fat cells then mix with the tumescent fluid, which is removed from the body using gentle suction.

Vaser Liposuction is ideal for those wanting to correct disproportionate fat deposits that are genetically acquired and cannot be corrected with diet and exercise alone.

Aside from Vaser Liposuction’s faster and easier recoveries, collagen production and skin retraction are also stimulated by the heat of the ultrasound. This means that Vaser patients can expect better skin retraction and smoother results.

Because Vaser is also more precise, fat closer to the skin can be safely removed. Standard liposuction cannot do this due to the risk of injuring the skin.

Vaser Liposuction is generally performed under local anaesthetic only or local anaesthetic + light sedation. General anaesthetic is not required unless large amount are being removed

Vaser Liposuction is clinically proven to enhance skin tightening in treated areas.
The most common areas to be treated with Vaser Liposuction are the abdomen (upper and lower), flanks (including muffin tops) and thighs (inner and outer).

You have a FREE Photographic consultation prior to travelling to Thailand for Vaser Liposuction and then a face to face consult with one of our Thailand  Surgeons is required to ascertain your fitness and suitability for the procedure, to order and review pre-operative tests (e.g blood tests),  to take pre-operative measurements and photos, and most importantly, for you to discuss your needs and concerns.

The benefits of liposculpture are immediate, and as healing gradually shrinks the fat layer and the skin, the result may continue to improve over several months. Once removed, these fat cells cannot return.

Whilst the results of any operation cannot be guaranteed, and a realistic aim is significant improvement and not perfection, patient satisfaction rates with modern Laser Liposuction are very high.

Thats the best bit about having Vaser liposuction in Thailand that the cost are greatly reduced the first area starts at approx $2500 and then only $900 for any additional areas you have at the same time. Compared to Australia cost of Vaser Liposuction it makes it affordable to have in Thailand and have more areas done too!

Men having Surgery in Thailand too!

male plastic surgery

The Secret could be on it way out..

Unless you are suffering a vision impediment then you surely could not miss the the current expanding number of glossy male magazines with awesome-looking dudes on the cover, you could easily say that male swagger is on the way to content with the heights of female vanity. This trend is not just about the male model, it speaks of men all over the world whose vanity has increased regardless of the industry they are in.

Why else would these almost immaculately groomed male versions of the Roman goddess of beauty be presented as though they were sculpted and chiseled to perfection? The increasing number of such male magazines glorifying the incredible physical attributes of the male populace is setting the trend of promoting cosmetic surgery among men travelling to Thailand to have surgery. They head off on a relaxing break coming back all refreshed and younger looking ( or so they would like everyone to think) The popularity of men now choosing to join the ladies on Surgery Holidays to Thailand has noticeably increased over the past few years.

Popular Male surgeries in Thailand include having liposuction to help chisel out those abdominal muscles that no matter how may crunches they do just wont pop out to that 6 pack. Many males also have the unfortunate situation of developing Gynecomastia which is commonly referred to as “Man Boobs” this is a surgery commonly preformed by out Thailand Surgeons. Male facial surgery in Thailand is probably the most popular surgery that our Aussie Men tend to be having, rejuvenating their face to a fresh younger look.

What is Downtime after Liposuction

Liposuction Suurgery Recovery
Liposuction is a great way to sculpt the body and remove pockets of stubborn fat. It has evolved over the past several years. Liposuction has become a much safer procedure and the lipo downtime has been reduced dramatically for the patient.
Tumescent Liposuction or “Liposculpture” allows the surgeon to target specific areas with much greater accuracy and control. Risks and recovery time are virtually eliminated and most patients return to their normal routine within 48 hours of their liposuction surgery in Thailand.

To make sure that you have the best recovery and minimal down town after Liposuction surgery you first need to make sure you are a good candidate for the liposuction surgery by discussing your desired outcome with your surgeon and getting his recommendations.

Those who are extremely overweight, have major medical conditions, expect perfection or are smokers might not be good candidates for liposuction or recovery from the procedure. If you expect perfection, talk to your liposuction surgeon before undergoing liposuction. Though most individuals are pleased with their results, perfection is not likely.

Healing and Post-Surgery Activity
Recovery from liposuction in Thailand is relatively quick and easy. Expect some swelling and bruising following the liposuction surgery. The patient will be required to wear a compression garment to minimizs swelling and provide support for about 7-14 days after their liposuction
Results are recognisable almost immediately. The swelling will subside and the patient will recognize a vast improvement throughout the healing phase. Clients walk out of the hospital the following day and remain active during the entire recovery period. Many clients return to light activities in 1-2 days, and can return to work upon their return from Thailand depending on what type of job requirements they have. More active jobs may require more down-time, per your Thai surgeon discretion.

Get plenty of rest the first few days following liposuction surgery.

What Happens in the Liposuction Surgery

3D animations of Lipo

Celebrities aren’t the only ones getting a sleeker look with surgery. Doctors perform an estimated 500,000 liposuction procedures in the United States each year, making it the most popular type of cosmetic surgery, according to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Most people know that liposuction involves removing fat from certain parts of the body to create a more streamlined shape. But how exactly does it work?

First, what is fat? It is tissue (otherwise known as adipose tissue) made up of cells that store energy and insulate the body. Fat is generally subcutaneous — located underneath the skin. Where fat is deposited around the body depends on a person’s gender. In men, fat tends to congregate in the chest, abdomen and buttocks. In women, it generally gathers in the breasts, hips, waist and buttocks.

There are two layers of subcutaneous fat: deep and superficial. During a liposuction procedure (also known as lipoplasty or suction lipectomy), the doctor makes a tiny incision and inserts a hollow, stainless-steel tube (called a cannula) into the deep fat layer. Working on this layer is safer than working on the superficial layer, because there is less risk of injuring the skin. In a typical procedure, the doctor pushes and pulls the tube through the fat layer (a new technique, power liposuction, automates the movement). As the cannula moves, it breaks up fat cells, and a vacuum pump or syringe removes the fat with suction.

Will A Face Lift Makes Me Look Younger

Face Lift in Thailand cheaper

Having a facelift in Thailand is a great way to rejuvenate your look and turn back the clock on ageing.

But, you may wonder just how much younger it can make you look.

A 2012 study by Dr Nitin Chauhan, a plastic surgeon from the University of Toronto had medical students estimate the age of patients in their before and after photos.

Published in the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery journal, the study revealed facial surgery lowers the estimated age of patients by around six to eight years.

Not only that, but the age the students guessed patients to after surgery was in fact an average of nine years less than the patients’ actual age. Most patients were believed to be a year or two younger than their actual age in their before shots.

While this is just a rough estimate and does not work for everyone, it gives some indication of what you can expect to see in the mirror after you have recovered.

This difference can depend on the surgeon, however, but you can rest assured that the doctors in Thai hospitals are well qualified and their work is sure to leave you impressed.

You may have a different goal for your face lift, wanting to look less tired or more refreshed or simply better for your age. A holiday abroad combined with your surgery will help you look more relaxed, too!

However, for best results you should make sure you protect your skin when you are in the sun and maintain a healthy diet and exercise regime.

Your surgeon will also be able to work with you to determine the best course of action as everyone’s needs and faces are unique and require an individualised opinion.
