Vectra 3D Imaging Plastic Surgery

Sydney Plastic Surgeons Offer Vectra 3D Imaging Plastic Surgery

Have you ever wondered what you would look like after cosmetic or breast surgery?

If you are one of many people each year considering body surgery such as breast enlargement or breast reduction, we have some good news for you. Until now prospective surgery patients would often bring photographs of other people to show the doctor how they would like to look after surgery. However, exciting new three-dimensional (3D) colour photography and software technology enables you to see how you will look after surgery – before your procedure!

Breast surgery is highly individualised. It is often difficult to explain your specific desired look, and many patients feel anxious about how they will look after their procedure. The VECTRA 3D Imaging and Simulation system provides an amazing 3D visual image of your body that can be used to simulate and compare a range of outcomes following surgery, dramatically helping with the implant selection process as well as important decisions regarding your treatment plan.

Your consultation will begin by capturing a 180-degree image of your body. Multiple cameras take a number of pictures simultaneously from several different points of view. Within just a few minutes the software records precise measurements and details of your individual anatomy, and a very accurate three-dimensional virtual model of the area of your body you want to enhance through plastic surgery is developed.

Your 3D image can be viewed from all angles, including side-by-side and translucent overlays. Special software allows our Australian Surgeons to simulate different size implants, shapes and positions so you can visualise how you may look after your breast enhancement or breast reconstruction procedure. Once you have decided on the appearance you want, this simulation will provide a foundation for your surgical plan.

While simulations are based on the actual implants used for your surgery, it is important to note that the VECTRA 3D produces a simulation of the expected surgical result only. Actual results can and do vary

The VECTRA® 3-D imaging system is used to help you make the right choices regarding your cosmetic procedure. VECTRA’s three-dimensional computer models show you side-by-side, simulated before-and-after images. The VECTRA 3D software allows you to preview a variety of procedures offered by our Australian Surgeons;

  • Breast augmentation / implants
  • Breast lift
  • Breast lift with implants
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Facial enhancement

How it works

3D ImagingThe VECTRA 3D machine uses a number of cameras to take multiple simultaneous pictures of you from different viewpoints. This is used to build a 3D virtual image of your body to assist planning of your aesthetic procedure. Patients say that being able to see an image of the actual changes they are considering greatly increase their confidence and reassurance. It is important to note that actual results can vary due to factors such as your tissue quality and healing ability.

What to Expect

  1. Your VECTRA 3D imaging plastic surgery simulation experience begins with a picture session in the doctor’s office. This creates the starting point for your aesthetic consultation.
  2. Using special simulation software on your 3D picture, your doctor will show you the possible results of the aesthetic procedures you may choose to have. You will be able to experiment with different looks until you find the one you want.
  3. The entire process takes only a few minutes, and you will have the opportunity to review the results during your initial consultation. At that time you can request alternative simulations to be sure you are comfortable with the recommended surgical plan.
  4. Once you have decided on the appearance you want, this simulation will provide a basis for your surgical plan. Because you have already seen the result, you can be confident in the choice that you make.

Our Australian Platic Surgeons in Sydney are  proud to introduce the latest in 3D imaging technology and is only one of a very few cosmetic plastic surgery clinics in Australia to offer this technology.

The Scenarios in Life That Can Prompt Cosmetic Surgery

Plastic Surgery

When people tend to decide to get Cosmetic Surgery  done?

Plastic SurgeryWith 1.5 million cosmetic procedures were performed last year, it can be easy to overlook that each one of those procedures started with a decision by someone to undergo a cosmetic procedure. Well, what inspired that decision? People get cosmetic surgery for a wide variety of reasons, and that decision shouldn’t be entered into lightly, but here are a few of the more common ones.

When bringing a baby to term, the body goes through a lot of changes, and doesn’t always end the journey as svelte as it started. It can be extremely hard to get back in shape after a pregnancy, even with the most stringent diet and exercise regiments. That’s why a lot of new moms get what are called Mommy Makeovers– a package deal that can include breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tucks, and a few other procedures, as the need may arise.

Major Life Changes

There are any number of life changes that might prompt someone to look at cosmetic surgery. On the job hunt again? A facelift to erase wrinkles may help you stand out in a competitive job market. Moving? Could be a chance to reinvent your look to impress new people. Getting married? A little bit of Botoxcould help you look your best for the big day (for men, too!). A big change, no matter what it is, can get the wheels turning and have people reevaluate their lives, and their looks.

“You think I’m HOW old?”

One of the biggest inspirations for cosmetic touchups, naturally, centres around aging. When we age, we don’t usually notice it ourselves, since it’s a gradual process. But the change can be more noticeable to an outside party, and if they don’t know you, they might assume you’re older than you are, or at least how old you feel inside. This kind of thing can, for some, be a wake-up call that their appearance isn’t as youthful as it once was, and some opt for surgery, or less invasive procedures.

No matter what reason you have for getting work done, your first step should be to have a free assessment with our  cosmetic surgeon for your surgical Assessment

Vaser Lipo Vs Laser Lipo

Smart Lipo Vs Vaser

Vaser Lipo Vs Laser Lipo

Ever wondered about the differences between VASER Liposuction (or just VASER Lipo as we call it) and Laser Lipo? Are you thinking of a non-invasive fat removal treatment or liposuction but aren’t sure which procedure to choose? There are lots of procedures and treatments out there claiming to zap fat and banish it forever in some way. It’s hard to know what to believe when you can tell what will work and what is overrated. Vaser Lipo Vs Laser Lipo we look at the comparisons below.

Fat removal procedures come in all shapes and sizes, just like people. It’s quite right that people come in all shapes and sizes – diversity is great – and the same can be said for fat removal procedures. You have non-invasive, minimally invasive and surgical treatments and procedures capable of targeting fat in some way, and it’s important there’s choice for patients. Not all patients will want the same things from their treatment, so it’s good to explore and have a range of options to look at. Below is a guide to one of the biggest discussions we have: VASER Lipo vs. Laser Lipo.

VASER Lipo is often touted at the top end of the fat removal treatment scale for its effectiveness. There’s little doubt it works – you can see the fat after it’s been taken out, and some patients even like to take pictures of the extracted fat. Just look at before and after VASER Lipo shots to see these patients have transformed.

VASER Lipo is minimally invasive, and downtime is minimal compared to traditional liposuction, but there are some downsides. Recovery can be uncomfortable for some patients (effective pain medication is given to managing any discomfort), patients must be relatively close to their target weight and cannot be obese. It’s not a weight loss solution, more of a body sculpting and fat removal procedure so expectations may need to be adjusted. However for the right patients, it can help. It’s popular for a reason.

The body is extraordinarily complicated, and fat distribution is largely determined by genetics. Some people have problem areas around the abdomen and thighs while others have issues with their breasts and flanks (love handles). You can’t spot reduce fat, and even personal trainers can tell you it can be hard to shift fat from stubborn areas. We don’t all have hours and hours each day to train and so many healthy people turn to VASER Lipo to treat permanently their problem areas.

Laser Lipo

Next down the scale in fat removal treatments is often laser lipo. Various generations and machines exist to target fat with lasers; some remove the fat with suction-assisted liposuction while other treatments leave it up to the body to flush the fat away and out through excretion. Laser Lipo is suited to people who want to target small areas and who may not want VASER Lipo or non-invasive fat targeting treatments. Whereas VASER Lipo uses ultrasound to break down the fat cells from the surrounding tissue, Laser uses heat.

Laser Liposuction (Smart Lipo)  is a procedure that helps to melt fat and tighten skin on the face and body. The safety of the Laser Liposuction treatment is well documented. The laser energy melts fat that is then suctioned out of the body via a cannula or eliminated safely through your liver. The laser energy also heats up the collagen fibres under the skin causing the collagen fibres to contract.  This tightening leads to an improvement in loose skin, cellulite and the appearance of stretch marks.

The full effects of the treatment may take up to 3 months as it takes 90 days for collagen fibres to regenerate themselves. You will see continued improvements for up to 12 months.

Laser Liposuction involves the use of a light sedation and most patients usually return to work within 1-2 days.

Are you ready for a mid-winter  makeover? Say goodbye to those love handles and extra inches around your thighs with a liposuction procedure. Meditravel offers several types of body contouring procedures in Sydney and Phuket that can reshape your body and help you achieve a streamlined silhouette. When diet and exercise aren’t enough to slim down your figure, liposuction can help.

At only $1200 per area for Laser Liposuction, here are some ways that liposuction in Sydney can transform your look:

Slims Down the Midsection

If you tend to store fat around your waistline and abdomen, you may still have a few stubborn pockets of fat after weight loss. Losing weight will help you slim down overall, but you will lose fat from all over your body — not a specific area. Liposuction can be very effective for targeting some stubborn pockets of fat around the midsection to create a contoured and balanced look.

Removes Pockets of Fat Around the Thighs

Some women tend to store extra fat around the thighs and those extra inches could be preventing you from wearing certain types of clothing. Balance out your figure by getting liposuction in Sydney on the inner or outer thighs. VASER Lipo is especially effective for targeting smaller areas and is less invasive and traumatic to the body than traditional procedures. We offer VASER Lipo at our Sydney Clinics and may recommend this technique for a thigh reshaping procedure.

Restore Your Youthful Face Shape

Extra fat under the chin or jaw area can add years to your appearance. Our Sydney Surgeons can perform liposuction in Sydney around the jawline to create a sculpted look and restore your youthful contours. Lipo-Selection by VASER allows the surgeons to target the very smaller fatty deposits around the neck and chin without damaging healthy tissues and blood vessels. The technique allows for a faster recovery and healing time. We will share post-operative care instructions during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.

  • Have lost significant breast volume after weight loss or pregnancy

Women with small or average sized breast often ponder about having a breast implant surgery. Be it if one is in her young ages or even after one turns a mother after having kids, breast implants are considered by many women at some point in their lives. With this, it is also common for women to think about various factors that revolve around such a surgery. While finding the right surgeon, the expenses of the process, pre and post surgery care, etc. all make up that list; another undoubtedly important aspect is the timing of a breast implant procedure.

While there is certainly nothing wrong in wanting to have a breast implant procedure in the summer, as one can flaunt their body in the perfect piece of a bikini, conventional wisdom would suggest entirely otherwise. Some reasons point out to the fact that winter is probably the best time to get you a breast implant or breast enlargement procedure.

As said before, if you are looking to flaunting your body in the summer sunshine, then it also sure that you want to be ready by then. Now, consider having a breast augmentation procedure in the onset of the summer months and you have to go through the rest of the period under recovery. Therefore, it is surely not a very wise option to take.

The alternative then? September/October is probably just about the right time to undergo a breast implant procedure and a lot of women these days, have been following this particular trend. Having an augmentation done in the winter means it gives you enough time to undergo the recovery period and not rush it. You can take all the time that is needed to heal after the surgery and come out of it completely fit and fresh. Also, a long recovery period ensures that your breast settle in the correct position and thus, make it look pretty natural as possible. With a recovery of around two months or more, you will not have to worry at all about your breasts hurting or any kind of complications arising immediately, as opposed to having it done in the summer months.

Besides the primary reason, there are several other reasons why winter is the best fit for getting a breast enlargement procedure. It is an obvious fact that one would have to wear a number of healing garments after the surgery process. Doctors provide various inner garments that are known to assist in the healing process. With respect to that, it is all very easy for women to hide such garments under the sweaters and the jackets, especially during the winter season. Turn that on to the summer, and it is surely not even a viable option. Thus, many women want to hide the fact that they might have undergone a breast implant and for them, winter is the best time to go about without revealing that fact.

Also, supporting the above-mentioned reason is the fact that winter time calls for lesser social activities and thus, one can stay put up at their, without having to worry about attending outdoor activities.
